BITSAT 2026 Schedule Out: Applications Open Dec 15; Exam Dates

The Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani (BITS) has announced the official schedule for the BITS Admission Test (BITSAT) 2026. This entrance examination facilitates admission to BITS Pilani’s undergraduate programs across its campuses. Applications will open on December 15, 2025 , with the computer-based test scheduled across two distinct sessions in April and May 2026 .

Prospective candidates for BITS Pilani’s BTech, BPharma, and MSc integrated first-degree programs must apply online. The application portal on the official website,admissions.bits-pilani.ac.in, will be active from the opening date. The final deadline for submitting applications is March 16, 2026 . A non-refundable registration fee of Rs 3,500 is mandatory for all applicants wishing to appear for BITSAT 2026.

BITSAT 2026 Examination Schedule

The BITSAT 2026 will be conducted as a computer-based test across two separate examination windows:

Candidates have the option to appear for either one session or both. If a candidate attempts both examination sessions, BITS Pilani will automatically consider the higher score achieved for admission purposes. This policy allows students a second opportunity to improve their performance.

Eligibility Requirements for BITSAT 2026

Applicants must fulfill specific academic qualifications to be eligible for BITSAT 2026:

  • Candidates must have successfully passed their Class 12 (or 10+2 equivalent) examination from a recognized board or university.
  • Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are compulsory subjects that candidates must have studied and passed in their Class 12 examination.
  • Students who completed their 10+2 examination in the year 2025 are also eligible to apply for BITSAT 2026.
  • A minimum aggregate score of 75% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology combined is required in the Class 12 board examination.
  • Additionally, candidates must secure at least 60% marks in each of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (or Biology, if applicable) subjects individually in their Class 12 exams.

BITSAT 2026 Exam Pattern and Content

BITSAT is a standardized, computer-based assessment designed to evaluate candidates for merit-based admissions. The examination consists entirely of objective-type questions. A system of negative marking is in place, meaning incorrect responses will lead to deductions from the total score. This encourages accuracy and strategic answering.
