The Delhi government launched the ‘Delhi AI Grind’ initiative for students aged 10 to 25 years. This citywide program will run from December 2025 to March 2026 . It aims to increase Artificial Intelligence (AI) awareness and train students in problem-solving.
Participation in the ‘Delhi AI Grind’ is mandatory for students in classes 6 to 9 and class 11. The initiative will be implemented across all education districts of Delhi. It forms part of the government’s ‘New Era of Entrepreneurial Ecosystem and Vision’.

Key Collaborators and Mentors
The Department of Education, Higher and Technical Education leads the ‘Delhi AI Grind’. They collaborate with the ViSV Foundation. School Innovation Councils and designated NEEV teachers will mentor participating students throughout the program phases.
The Additional Director of Education is the nodal officer. This officer coordinates all school-level activities on behalf of the Directorate.
Program Structure
The ‘Delhi AI Grind’ involves several structured stages:

- School-level ‘Mini Grinds’ where students develop initial projects.
- District-level evaluations to select promising innovations.
- A city-level showcase to present top projects.
