Purpose of the KTET Examination

The Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test is a mandatory state-level examination for individuals seeking teaching positions in Karnataka’s schools (Classes 1-8). It establishes minimum standards for teacher quality. Paper 1 certifies eligibility for Classes 1 to 5, while Paper 2 qualifies candidates for Classes 6 to 8. This ensures specialized knowledge for different education levels.

Essential Exam Day Instructions

Candidates must carry a printed KTET 2025 admit card and a valid photo identification (e.g., Aadhaar, PAN, driver’s license). Entry will be denied without these documents. Only blue or black ballpoint pens are allowed. Electronic gadgets like mobile phones, calculators, and smartwatches are strictly banned. Non-compliance may lead to disqualification.

Post-KTET Process

Successful candidates receive a KTET eligibility certificate, typically valid for a lifetime. This certificate qualifies individuals to apply for teaching vacancies. The KTET score is a qualifying benchmark; actual teacher recruitment involves separate application procedures and often further selection rounds by various recruiting bodies.
