IIM Raipur SC/ST Business Accelerator: Free Program

IIM Raipur launched an online Business Accelerator program designed for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) entrepreneurs and small business owners. The program fee is fully sponsored by the National SC, ST Hub (NSSH), operating under the Ministry of MSME, Government of India. Applications for this program close on December 15, 2025 , with classes scheduled to begin on January 17, 2026 .

The Indian Institute of Management Raipur (IIM Raipur) developed this initiative in collaboration with NSSH. Its primary aim is to equip SC/ST entrepreneurs with essential skills and knowledge. The program specifically targets supporting participants in effectively scaling their existing small businesses, according to an official press release.

Program Structure and Delivery

This Business Accelerator is a blended online program. It combines immersive, in-person on-campus sessions held at the IIM Raipur campus with interactive live online classes. This format offers flexibility alongside the benefits of direct engagement and networking opportunities.

The curriculum encompasses 72 hours of structured instructional content. Beyond classroom learning, the program allocates 18 hours for dedicated one-on-one mentoring. This personalized mentorship comes from IIM Raipur faculty, established industry leaders, and experienced practitioners, providing targeted guidance.

The learning methodology includes concept sessions and case discussions specifically rooted in the realities of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Participants also engage in hands-on exercises designed to apply theoretical knowledge directly to their business scenarios.

Eligibility and Application Details

Prospective candidates must meet specific criteria to be eligible for the program. Applicants must be above 18 years of age and hold a graduation degree from a recognized institution. Applications are submitted exclusively through the official IIM Raipur website, iimraipur.ac.in.

  • Minimum Age: 18 years.
  • Educational Qualification: A valid graduation degree.
  • Preference: Women participants receive priority during the selection process.
  • Ineligibility: Applicants whose primary business activity, as registered in Udyam, is ‘trading’ cannot apply.

The final date for submitting applications is December 15, 2025 . Interested entrepreneurs should complete their submissions well before this deadline.

Financial Aspects: Full Sponsorship

The standard total program fee is Rs 99,000 plus applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST). However, this entire amount is 100% sponsored under the National SC, ST Hub (NSSH) scheme, making the program financially accessible for eligible entrepreneurs. Participants are only required to pay a non-refundable registration fee of Rs 7,500 . This registration fee is inclusive of GST.

Key Learning Outcomes and Business Benefits

The program focuses on several critical areas for business growth. It aims to strengthen participants’ financial decision-making abilities. Additionally, it enhances knowledge and practical application of digital tools to improve operational efficiency within their enterprises.

Through intensive one-on-one mentoring clinics, entrepreneurs directly address their specific business challenges. They work towards developing clear 90-180 day action roadmaps, providing a concrete plan for immediate growth and implementation. The curriculum directly supports participants in navigating real-world business environments.

Sanjeev Prashar, director-in-charge, IIM Raipur, affirmed the program’s objective. He stated it creates a structured pathway for SC/ST entrepreneurs to strengthen their business foundations and scale with confidence. Mr. Prashar highlighted that the initiative brings together academic rigor, practical insights, and personalized mentoring to equip participants with capabilities needed for the current market landscape.
