LUCKNOW — The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has released the list of 7,448 examination centers for the UP Board Class 10 and 12 exams in 2026. Schools and candidates can submit objections to the proposed list by December 4, 2024 . The board will review all objections and publish the final approved list on its official website, upmsp.edu.in, by December 11, 2024 .
This year’s list marks a reduction in the total number of exam centers. UPMSP has finalized 7,448 centers for the 2026 exams, down from 7,657 in the previous academic year. In the 2023-24 board exams, 8,265 centers were utilized across the state.
Objection and Approval Process
The District School Inspector will handle all received objections. Inspectors will promptly address and resolve these concerns. The list, with approvals and recommendations from the District Center Determination Committee, will then be forwarded online to the board’s website. This committee operates under the chairmanship of the District Magistrate.
The official UP Board notice states, “The determination of examination centers for the UP Board exam 2026, including school-student allocation, has been uploaded. This online method relies on basic school information updated by the Tehsil level committee. Approval from the District Center Determination Committee, chaired by the District Magistrate, is integral to this process.”
Exam Centre Distribution
The 7,448 allocated exam centers for the 2026 UP Board examinations are distributed across three categories of schools. This breakdown ensures a mix of government-run, government-aided, and privately funded institutions serve as examination venues.
| School Category | Number of Centers |
|---|---|
| Government Schools | 910 |
| Aided Schools | 3,484 |
| Unaided Schools | 3,054 |
| Total Centers | 7,448 |
This distribution aims to provide adequate facilities for the large number of students appearing for the high-stakes board examinations across Uttar Pradesh.
