IIM Mumbai and IIT Delhi have opened admissions for their joint one-year Post Graduate Diploma for Executives-Visionary Leadership for Manufacturing Programme (PGDEx-VLFM). The full-time residential course costs Rs 16.32 lakh . Interested mid and senior-level management professionals must apply by November 29 at iimmumbai.ac.in. The program has 35 available seats .
The PGDEx-VLFM program targets professionals seeking to enhance leadership and cross-functional influence within their organizations. Classes will be held online and offline at IIM Mumbai’s campus, with contributions from IIT Delhi.
Eligibility and Application Process
Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in a technological discipline (BE or BTech). They must also have 4 to 10 years of work experience in manufacturing, operations, or consulting. The selection process involves three stages:
- Online application for leadership profiling
- Aptitude test
- Personal interview
The program will begin in mid-April 2026 .
Program Curriculum and Structure
The PGDEx-VLFM focuses on manufacturing technology, operations, supply chain, strategy, and leadership. It includes over 1,300 contact hours. The curriculum incorporates interactive lectures, case studies, group activities, role plays, and management games for practical learning. Real-world scenarios are integrated throughout the course.
Key components of the program include:
- An 8-week industrial internship, conducted in India or abroad.
- 2 weeks of international visits and industry treks.
Faculty from IIM Mumbai, IIT Delhi, the Confederation of Indian Industry’s Gurukul, and international academia and industry leaders will conduct classes.

Program Fees
The total fee for the PGDEx-VLFM program is approximately Rs 16.32 lakh . This fee is split between IIM Mumbai and IIT Delhi. The IIM Mumbai portion is approximately Rs 11.07 lakh , and the IIT Delhi portion is Rs 5.25 lakh .
