The SBI Youth for India Fellowship 2025-26 is a unique and impactful opportunity offered by the State Bank of India (SBI) Foundation. This program operates in partnership with various reputed NGOs, targeting bachelor's degree holders between the age group of 21 to 32 years. It is designed to empower young graduates to actively engage with and tackle pressing rural development challenges. Fellows achieve this by living and working alongside communities, thereby promoting a transformative leadership journey centered on social change and grass-roots development.

Selected fellows will receive substantial support throughout their engagement in the program. This includes a monthly stipend of ₹16,000 provided to cover living expenses, allowing them to fully dedicate their efforts to their projects without financial burden. Additionally, a significant readjustment allowance of ₹90,000 is provided as a one-time payment upon successful completion of the fellowship.

Further financial provisions include a monthly travel allowance of ₹2,000 to facilitate movement related to their projects and a monthly project-related expense allowance of ₹1,000. Upon the successful conclusion of the program, participants are awarded a certificate of completion from the SBI Foundation, a valuable credential for their future endeavors.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered eligible for the SBI Youth for India Fellowship, applicants must strictly meet the following criteria:

• The applicant must be an Indian citizen, a citizen of Nepal/Bhutan, or an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI).
• The applicant's age must be between 21 and 32 years as of the date of commencement of the program.
• The applicant must have successfully completed a bachelor's degree before October 1, 2025.

Important Note for OCI Applicants:
Applicants who do not currently possess an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card are strongly advised to visit the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India website for OCI registration. As the OCI registration process can typically take anywhere from 1 to 3 months to complete, it is highly recommended that eligible applicants initiate their OCI application as soon as possible. Ideally, this process should coincide with the start of their Fellowship application to ensure timely completion.
