JK NEET PG 2025: Choice Filling Opens, Merit List Revised

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) has initiated the choice filling facility for J-K NEET PG counselling 2025 Round 1. This critical phase for postgraduate medical admissions commenced today, November 20 , at 2 pm. Eligible candidates must complete their course and college selections by November 23 . A total of 1,328 candidates, who successfully qualified the NEET PG 2025 examination, have received a Union Territory (UT) rank, allowing their participation in the J-K PG medical admission process.

Choice Filling Process and Financial Requirements

Prospective candidates are required to access the official JKBOPEE website, jkbopee.gov.in, to submit their preferences. They must accurately list their desired MD, MS, and PG Diploma courses, along with the corresponding institutions, in a prioritized order. A mandatory, non-refundable counselling fee of Rs 2,000 must be paid to finalize the registration process. This payment is essential for candidates to be considered for seat allotment in the current round of counselling. JKBOPEE has assured candidates that the comprehensive seat matrix, detailing available seats across various courses and colleges for Jammu and Kashmir NEET PG counselling, will be made public and accessible before the choice filling window officially closes.

Revised Merit List and Incentivized Candidates

JKBOPEE previously invited objections regarding the provisional merit list, with a submission deadline of October 31 . During this period, two specific candidates submitted requests for the inclusion of marks obtained for service in Difficult Areas. The Board conducted a thorough examination of these individual cases. Following careful consideration, the Board approved their candidatures, recognizing them as beneficiaries under the difficult area category. Consequently, JKBOPEE has released a revised provisional merit list. This updated document incorporates all candidates who registered for admission to MD, MS, and PG Diploma courses. The revised Difficult Area list now officially recognizes 29 candidates who have been awarded incentive marks for their qualifying service.

NEET PG Cut-off Marks for 2025

According to the recently revised merit list, the official NEET PG cut-off marks for admissions within Jammu and Kashmir span a range from 695.50 to 236 . These figures represent the minimum scores required for eligibility across different specialties and admission categories within the region’s postgraduate medical programs for the 2025 academic year.

Strict Rules for Document Verification and Eligibility

A firm deadline of October 31 was established for all applicants to rectify any noted deficiencies in their previously submitted documents. This included corrections for details such as date of birth or issues with the NEET PG scorecard. Candidates who failed to correct these errors, or those who submitted invalid documentation — including domicile certificates, state medical registration, or Medical Council of India (MCI) registration details — are currently ineligible for online choice filling. However, an alternative path to eligibility exists: candidates can personally submit their valid, rectified documents. These submissions must be made in person at the designated JKBOPEE offices located in either Jammu or Srinagar. The final cut-off for these in-person submissions is November 23 . Additionally, candidates belonging to reserved categories who did not submit their mandatory documents by the specified deadline will automatically be reclassified and considered under the open merit category for seat allocation. JKBOPEE further confirmed the formal rejection of candidatures for several individuals who were found to be ineligible within their initially declared categories.
