About This Scholarship
The Indian Institute of Technology Palakkad invites applications for Post Doctoral Fellowships 2020. This prestigious fellowship program is open to doctoral degree holders and PhD students who have submitted their thesis.
Selected fellows will receive a consolidated fellowship amount ranging from INR 45,000 to INR 55,000 per month, depending on their experience and qualifications.
Beyond the monthly stipend, fellows are also entitled to:
• A contingency grant of INR 1,00,000 per annum for research purposes.
• House Rent Allowance for married fellows or accommodation (if available).
• Medical benefits/insurance.
• Permission to attend conferences and TA claim for joining.
• Up to 30 days of leave in a year.
Applications are accepted throughout the year, providing a flexible opportunity for aspiring post-doctoral researchers. Selection involves an application evaluation by a Standing Committee and an interview. Candidates called for interviews are eligible for reimbursement of travel fare.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the Post Doctoral Fellowships at IIT Palakkad, applicants must meet the following criteria:
• Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold a doctoral degree from any recognized institute or university. PhD students who have submitted their thesis are also eligible to apply.
• Post-Doctoral Experience: Applicants should be applying for the fellowship within 5 years of obtaining their doctoral degree.
• Age Limit: The applicant's age should not exceed 35 years at the time of submitting the application.
• Special Consideration: While IIT Palakkad PhD scholars are generally not encouraged to apply for the Institute PDF, outstanding candidates from IIT Palakkad are eligible and may be considered.

• Consent Letter from Mentor: A formal consent letter from the prospective mentor at IIT Palakkad is mandatory. This letter signifies the mentor's agreement to supervise the applicant's research.
• List of Publications: A comprehensive list detailing all academic publications by the applicant, showcasing their research contributions and scholarly work.
