Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the PhD Excellent Scholarship, an applicant must meet the following criteria:
• Possess an outstanding academic record with a GPAX (Grade Point Average) that meets specific thresholds:
• Greater than or equal to 3.50/4.00 for Master's degree holders.
• Greater than or equal to 3.25/4.00 for Bachelor's degree holders.
• Be seeking admission to a three-year PhD program or a four-year PhD program in one of the following academic streams:
• Science
• Management
• Engineering
• Health Science
• Agriculture
• Be committed to serving as a Teaching Assistant (TA) or Research Assistant (RA) during their PhD studies at Walailak University.
Required Documents
The following documents are required for the scholarship application process:
• A comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV).
• A certified copy of the applicant's bachelor’s degree transcript.
• A certified copy of the applicant's master’s degree transcript (if applicable).
• A certified copy of the bachelor’s degree graduation transcript.
• A certified copy of the master’s degree graduation transcript (if applicable).
• A copy of the first page of any research publications.
• A copy of the official TOEFL or IELTS score report.
• A copy of the passport’s master page or national ID.
• Details of the application fee (500 THB) payment.
• An approval copy for full-time PhD study from the applicant's last academic affiliation.
• Two letters of recommendation from faculty members of higher academic institutions. These letters should be submitted to the university address in a sealed and signed form.
