NEET PG 2025 Counselling: Choice Filling Extended, Seats Reduced

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) extended the NEET PG 2025 Round 1 Choice Filling process indefinitely. Candidates must visit mcc.nic.in to submit preferences. The extension follows seat revisions by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and seat withdrawals by the National Board of Examinations (NBE). Original deadlines for choice filling ( November 5 ) and allotment results ( November 8 ) are now postponed.

NEET PG 2025 Schedule Changes

The MCC announced the indefinite extension of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Postgraduate (NEET PG) Counselling 2025 Round 1 Choice Filling. Candidates access the portal at mcc.nic.in . The MCC website ticker states: “Choice Filling for Round-1 of PG Counselling 2025 has been extended until further orders.” The committee will release a revised schedule later.

Reasons for Extension

The extension follows seat revisions by the National Medical Commission (NMC). The National Board of Examinations (NBE) also withdrew 169 Diplomate of National Board (DNB) seats . The original Round 1 choice filling deadline was November 5 . Allotment results were set for November 8 . These dates will now change.

Seat Reductions Across States

A total of 73 postgraduate seats have been removed from the counselling matrix. These reductions affect six states:

PwD Certificate Applications Open

The NEET PG Counselling 2025 Round 1 Person with Disability (PwD) portal remains active. PwD candidates must apply for certificate generation by November 8, 2025, at 5 PM . They must visit designated disability assessment centres to obtain valid certificates.
