Shillong, Meghalaya — The first round of Meghalaya NEET PG counselling for MD/MS courses for the 2025–26 session begins on November 14 . The North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS) will conduct this round. Counselling will take place in a hybrid mode, both online and offline, starting at 11 am at the Director’s Conference Room, NEIGRIHMS.
A total of 86 candidates are called for this initial counselling round. This includes 50 candidates under the North East Open category. An additional 36 candidates are from the NEIGRIHMS Pass Out category.
Counselling Participation Details
Candidates choosing online participation must confirm their attendance by November 13 . They must email specific details to ar-academic@neigrihms.gov.in. Required information includes their name, email ID, mobile number, NEET PG 2025 roll number, rank, and category. The confirmation email must originate from their registered email ID.
Candidates attending in-person must bring all necessary documents for verification. Seat allocation will be based on NEET PG 2025 merit among eligible applicants. Document verification and fulfillment of eligibility conditions are mandatory. The institute has clarified that this counselling process does not involve any marks.
Key Dates and Admission Process
The provisional list of selected candidates will be published on November 15 . This list will be accessible on the official institute website, neigrihms.gov.in.
The deadline for joining or reporting to the course is November 20, 2025 , by 4 pm. Candidates must physically report to NEIGRIHMS. This is required to complete document verification and other admission formalities. Failure to report by the specified date will result in the cancellation of the provisional seat allotment.
Provisional Meghalaya NEET PG seat allotment becomes confirmed after original document verification. Candidates must also pay an admission fee of Rs 69,000 . Payments are to be made via NEFT/RTGS to the Bank of Baroda, Mawdiangdiang Branch. The account number is 30270200000005, and the IFSC Code is BARBOMAWDIA.
