Education News: Viksit Bharat Quiz, VP Address, Ironman Goa

Over 50 lakh (5 million) youth from across India participated in the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) 2026 Quiz, with Phase 1 ending on October 31 . Shortlisted participants for the essay round must submit their entries by November 20 . This nationwide engagement follows Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan’s address to graduates in Mysuru on November 10, 2025 , and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commendation of youth involvement in the IRONMAN 70.3 Goa event.

Viksit Bharat Quiz Draws Record Participation

The Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) 2026 Quiz concluded its first phase on October 31 . The quiz ran from September 1 , attracting over 50 lakh (5 million) youth. This participation figure exceeds the previous edition’s 30 lakh participants.

Youth from all 28 States and 8 Union Territories across India participated. The Youth Affairs and Sports Ministry reported near-equal gender involvement, with 51 percent male and 49 percent female participants. Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Haryana, and West Bengal recorded the highest participation numbers.

Essay Submission Deadline: November 20

Approximately 2.56 lakh shortlisted youth will proceed to Phase 2, an essay round. Participants must submit their essays by November 20 . The essays will focus on ten key national themes shaping the vision of a developed India. These themes include:

  • Youth in Democracy and Government for Viksit Bharat
  • Women-Led Development: The Key to Viksit Bharat
  • Fit Bharat, Hit Bharat

Submissions are accepted in any of the 22 Indian languages.

Vice President Advises Graduates on Dedication

Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan urged graduating students to work hard and remain focused on November 10, 2025 . He addressed students at JSS Academy of Higher Education in Mysuru. Radhakrishnan emphasized performing duties without expecting immediate rewards.

He quoted Vivekananda, stating, “awake, arise, and stop not till the goal is achieved.” The Vice President advised graduates to learn from others, avoid comparing progress, and build resilience. He also cautioned against mobile addiction and stressed respecting elders, teachers, and parents.

PM Modi Commends Youth in Ironman 70.3 Goa

Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised increasing youth participation in endurance events like IRONMAN 70.3 Goa. The event, held on November 9, 2025 , aligns with the #FitIndia movement. Over 1,300 triathletes from 31 countries competed in Goa.

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant flagged off the fifth IRONMAN 70.3 Goa. The competition featured a 1.9 km swim, a 90 km cycle, and a 21.1 km run. Additionally, over 900 children participated in the IRONKIDS race. Race Director Deepak Raj noted the event strengthens Goa’s position as a premier endurance sports destination in Asia.
