The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has released the schedule for the mandatory Class 10 (Matric) and Class 12 (Intermediate) sent-up examinations for 2025. Theory exams begin on November 19, 2025 . These qualifying exams determine eligibility for the 2026 annual board exams. Students must pass to receive their admit cards.
Class 10 theory exams will run from November 19 to November 22, 2025 . Practical examinations for Class 10 are set for November 24, 2025 . For Class 12, theory exams for Science, Arts, and Commerce streams take place from November 19 to November 26, 2025 . Class 12 practicals are scheduled from November 27 to November 29, 2025 , at respective schools and colleges.
Exam Schedule and Shift Timings
Both matric and intermediate sent-up exams will be conducted in two shifts daily. The first shift runs from 9:30 AM to 12:45 PM . The second shift operates from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM .
Eligibility Criteria for Sent-up Exams
Participation in the sent-up examinations is mandatory for all regular students and those in the independent category. Students must also maintain a minimum attendance of 75 percent to be eligible. Only students who pass these sent-up exams will receive admit cards for the Bihar Board Class 10 and 12 annual exams in 2026. Failure in any subject or absence from the sent-up exam will result in students being barred from appearing in the annual board examinations.
Students in specific categories are exempt from appearing in the sent-up exams. These categories include Ex (Previous) students, Compartmental candidates, Single Subject English candidates, and those under Betterment/Improvement categories.
