AEEE 2026 BTech Applications Open: Dates, Fees, New Exam Pattern

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has opened applications for the Amrita Entrance Examination – Engineering (AEEE 2026) for its BTech programs. The examination features a new question pattern, including Quantitative Aptitude, and a higher application fee. The first phase of the computer-based test will run from January 29 to February 1, 2026 .

Application Details and Key Dates

Eligible candidates can submit their AEEE 2026 application forms online ataeee.amrita.edu. The application deadline is January 15, 2026 . Phase 1 slot booking starts on January 10, 2026 .

The AEEE 2026 exam will be conducted in two phases. Phase 1 takes place from January 29 to February 1, 2026 . Phase 2 exams are scheduled from April 25 to April 30, 2026 . Counselling for admitted candidates will begin in May 2026 .

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet specific requirements to apply for AEEE 2026:

  • Passed Class 12.
  • Achieved a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
  • Secured at least 50% in each of these three subjects.
  • Date of birth must fall between July 1, 2004 , and June 30, 2010 .

Application Fees

The AEEE 2026 application fee is Rs 1,300 . This represents a Rs 100 increase from the AEEE 2025 fee of Rs 1,200.

Registered engineering aspirants can also opt to apply through their JEE Main percentile without paying additional fees. Candidates are not required to attend both phases of the exam. If a candidate attends Phase 1 and wishes to appear for Phase 2, an additional fee of Rs 600 is required, according to the official website.

AEEE 2026 Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme

The AEEE 2026 is a national-level, computer-based test conducted for two and a half hours. The syllabus covers Class 11 and 12 subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English. Quantitative Aptitude has been added to the syllabus for AEEE 2026.

For each correct answer, candidates receive three marks. One mark will be deducted for each incorrect response.
