CTET 2025 Exam Date Out: Registration Soon at ctet.nic.in

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has set the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2025 exam date. The CTET exam for the December 2025 session will take place on February 8, 2026 . Official registration and the information bulletin will be released soon on the CTET website, ctet.nic.in.

CBSE conducts the CTET examination twice each year. The test is administered offline across 132 cities nationwide. Candidates can choose to take the exam in one of twenty languages.

The Supreme Court mandates the TET exam for individuals aspiring to become teachers. However, prospective and current teachers hired before the RTE Act are exempt if they have less than five years of employment remaining.

CTET Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must be Indian citizens. Specific education qualifications apply for Paper 1 and Paper 2:

Paper 1 (Classes 1-5 Teacher)

  • Class 12 with 50% or 45% marks, AND
  • 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or Education, OR
  • 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education, OR
  • Bachelor’s degree AND a BEd.

Paper 2 (Classes 6-8 Teacher)

  • Graduation with 50% or 40% marks, AND
  • 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or BEd, OR
  • 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education, OR
  • Senior Secondary with 50% marks, AND
  • Cleared or appearing in the final year of B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed or B.A/B.Sc.Ed.

How to Apply for CTET 2025

Candidates must follow these steps to complete the CTET 2025 application:

  • Register for the CTET exam on the official portal.
  • Log in using the assigned registration number.
  • Enter personal information and educational background into the online application form.
  • Provide scanned copies of a signature and photograph in the specified format.
  • Pay the CTET exam fee using a debit/credit card, UPI, or online banking.
  • Submit the completed CTET 2025 application form.
  • Download the confirmation page for personal records.
