Application Process and Modifications
Candidates must complete their registration online. Following the application submission, a modification window will open from December 3 to December 12, 2025 . During this period, applicants can correct specific details in their online application forms.
A prescribed modification fee applies for making corrections. However, information initially entered in the ‘Create an Account’ section and the ‘Chosen RRB’ field cannot be changed. Candidates requiring a scribe must submit their scribe details through the online portal between December 13 and December 17, 2025 .
Application Fees and Refunds
General category candidates must pay an application fee of Rs 500 . Of this amount, Rs 400 will be refunded. This refund occurs after deductions for applicable bank charges, provided the candidate appears for the first stage Computer-Based Test (CBT).
Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Ex-Servicemen, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), Female, Transgender, Minorities, and Economically Backward Class (EBC) categories pay Rs 250 . This entire fee is also refundable, after bank charge deductions, if the candidate appears for the first stage CBT.
The deadline for fee payment is December 2, 2025 . The RRB has advised candidates not to confuse the Economically Backward Class (EBC) category with Other Backward Class (OBC) or Economically Weaker Section (EWS) categories.
All applicants must accurately provide bank details, including the bank name, account holder’s name, account number, and IFSC Code. This information is critical for receiving the refundable portion of their examination fee.
