About This Scholarship
The PM Yasasvi Pre-Matric Scholarship for OBC, EBC, and DNT Students, Sikkim 2025-26, is a valuable initiative offered by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India. This opportunity supports students from the Other Backwards Class (OBC), Economically Backwards Class (EBC), and Denotified, Nomadic Tribes (DNT) categories.
The scholarship targets students currently enrolled in Class 9 and 10 in government schools within Sikkim. Successful applicants will receive an academic allowance designed to help cover educational expenses.
Candidates will be selected based on their fulfillment of the specified eligibility criteria. The application deadline for this scholarship is 31 October 2025.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, an applicant must:-
• be a resident of Sikkim
• belong to the Other Backwards Class (OBC), Economically Backwards Class (EBC) or Denotified Nomadic Tribes (DNT) community
• be studying at the pre-matric level, i.e., Class 9 and 10 from a government school only.
• have an annual family income of up to ₹2,50,000 from all sources

Required Documents:
• A passport-sized photograph of the student
• One attested copy of academic transcripts, including certificates, diplomas, degrees, etc.
• A valid caste certificate duly signed by an authorised Revenue Officer (RO), not below the rank of Tehsildar
• An income certificate for the parent(s)/guardian(s), issued by the authority as determined by the state government
• A receipt acknowledging the scholarship from the previous year (if applicable)
How to Apply
Eligible applicants can apply by following these steps:-
1. Visit the official National Scholarship Portal (NSP) and locate the scholarship application. Click on the 'Apply Now' button.
2. Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. If you are already registered, log in using your Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID.
3. Navigate to the 'Students' option on the left-hand side of the dashboard and click on it.
4. Now, click on the 'Login' button under the OTR (One-Time Registration) option. This step is required to apply for a scholarship on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).
5. If you are a new user, click on 'New user? Register yourself' on the left-hand side of the dashboard and proceed.
6. Read the details carefully, tick the checkbox, and click on the 'Next' button.
7. Enter a functional mobile number, captcha code, and OTP, then submit to complete the initial registration process.
8. Fill in all required details and click on 'Save & Register' to complete the 'One-time registration (OTR)' process.
Note: This is a temporary registration number. Students need to download the OTR mobile application for face authentication to complete the full OTR process.
9. After successful registration, navigate to the 'Apply for Scholarship' option and click on the 'Login' button.
10. Select the specific scholarship, fill in all required details, upload the necessary documents, and finally, submit your application.
Note: All applicants are advised to fill in the information correctly on the application form. Once the application is submitted, no changes can be made. Additionally, submitting multiple applications will result in disqualification.
