About This Scholarship

The Japan-IMF Scholarship Program for Asia (JISPA) • Master’s Track 2025 is offered by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) with funding support from the Government of Japan. This program is designed to provide young officials from Asia and the Pacific with graduate-level training in economics and related fields to strengthen their policy-making capacity. Selected officials will receive comprehensive scholarship benefits.

The scholarship offers significant support, covering full tuition fees at a partner university, round-trip airfare, travel allowance, and health insurance. It also provides a monthly stipend to cover living expenses, ensuring selected officials can focus entirely on their studies.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, an applicant must meet the following criteria:
• be a government official currently working in a ministry, central bank, or other economic policy agency in Asia and the Pacific
• have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent with strong academic performance
• demonstrate proficiency in English
• be nominated and supported by their employing agency
• commit to returning to their home agency after completion of studies

Important Note: The selection process may include a mathematics test and an interview. Only shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in these assessments.

• Academic excellence and professional background
• Commitment to public service in the home country
• Relevance of the study plan to economic policy needs
• English language proficiency
