The State Common Entrance Test Cell has announced the schedule for the institutional round of admissions for the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) course. Eligibility for the Final B.Ed. Counselling Round

  • All CAP-registered candidates not yet admitted are eligible to participate.
  • Previously admitted candidates can participate if they cancel their Round I, II, or III admission. Cancelling an admission forfeits the original seat. The cancelled seat will not be available to the candidate if they fail to get admission in the institutional level Round in the desired college.

Update on Shree Sharda Bhavan Education Society, Nanded Seats

The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) reduced B.Ed. seats at Shree Sharda Bhavan Education Society, Nanded, from 100 to 50. A court order dated September 9, 2025 , temporarily paused this reduction. Consequently, 58 candidates allotted to Shree Sharda Bhavan in CAP Round-III must verify documents at the college by October 11, 2025, 5:00 PM . Their admission is subject to the final court decision in Writ Petition No. 12140/2025. Candidates should note this condition.

Candidate Instructions for Institutional Round

  • Candidates must edit or upload required documents in their CAP application form if errors exist, then confirm the form.
  • New college choices are mandatory for Institutional Level Round IV; previous choices will not be considered.
  • Admissions will occur at the college level, following the published schedule and system-generated merit lists.
  • Candidates can check vacant seat positions for each college on the CAP portal.
  • After colleges generate the merit list, candidates must check their merit online and decide to visit the respective college.
  • A separate link for ACAP/Institute Level Seats options is available in the candidate login.
  • Colleges will admit candidates based on the system-generated merit list and seat availability. Thorough document verification is required.
  • Candidates must pay a one-time seat acceptance fee of Rs. 1,000, if not paid previously.

Editing Application Forms and College Choices

Registered candidates (except those already admitted) can edit their application forms and upload new documents. Their application will not be re-scrutinized by the scrutiny team. Candidates must carefully edit and confirm the form before giving college choices.

Locked or confirmed CAP applications can be unlocked for editing through the ‘unlock application form’ link in the candidate’s login. To select colleges for the institutional round, candidates must log in, go to ‘apply for institutional Round’, and select colleges by filtering university, status, medium, and type. Candidates must provide a minimum of two choices; there is no maximum limit. Choices can be changed during the scheduled period.

College Responsibilities for Admissions

Colleges must admit candidates according to the system-generated institutional level common merit list. They must verify candidate eligibility, category, and candidature type against available vacancies. Document scrutiny and verification of original documents are mandatory before admitting any candidate. Colleges are responsible for any incorrect admissions. Colleges must also inform candidates on the merit list via email, SMS, and website notices.
